Marae

It has been a long-held dream of Ngāti Rāhiri o Te Atiawa to build a marae for our people and our community. In 2021 the Ngāti Rāhiri Marae project was resurrected, and a Marae Committee was set up. 

Ngatirahiri Block 3E has been identified as the proposed location for our marae. In 2023 we will be seeking nominations for trustees for Ngatirahiri Block 3E. The new trust will be tasked with progressing the project of building our Marae.
